The ranch is located in the southern end of the Black Hills of South Dakota. It is in the heart of elk country! It consists of rolling hills covered with Ponderosa pine, scrub cedar, and a few areas with cottonwood trees plus grassy meadows. There are box canyons, deep draws and many rocky outcroppings which give the elk innumerable places to find protection and escape hunting pressure. It can be negotiated by almost any level or age of hunter, but remember, you are hunting elk!
Stone Meadow The Ranch offers the finest in buffalo hunting in the Black Hills of South Dakota. A Buffalo Hunter’s Dream! Quiet, comfortable accommodations and local attractions make Stonemeadow Ranch a place the entire family will love. We accommodate only "One" hunting group at a time. They get the entire fully furnished 2700 sq. ft. Log Lodge to themselves. We encourage hunters to bring their families since the lodge sleeps 9 comfortably. The lodge is also available in off season for vacation rentals.
